Palau Antiguitats opened its doors more than twenty years ago, in 1986, when Lola Palau, a collector, became an antique dealer. Located in the street of Grà cia 1 in Barcelona and specialized in the purchase and sale of antiques, the company has been projected inside and outside Spanish market in a solid way, thanks to principles based on the ethics and the professionalism, without losing the familiar character and a close treatment.
What we do
Our two areas of interest are: the antique dealer and the world of the engraving and the old drawing. In addition to old furniture (mainly since 17th centuries until the beginning of the 19th), we have a huge catalogue of artistic objects, from decorative pieces, to devotional items and some of ethnologic character. We got paintings and sculptures from 16th to 19th centuries too.
In our Cabinet of Graphical Arts we have created a place where engravings and drawings are the main characters. This is a pedagogical space where different techniques, states and editions can be easily contrasted; it is also possible to appreciate different kind of papers and supports, or to enjoy the shades of a good stamping. Every year we celebrate several exhibitions, always of varied taste, where works to all type of prices can be acquired.
Besides we offer the possibility of doing valuations of private and public collections.
